Igor Porte lives and works in Nantes, France. Working as both a musician and visual artist, Porte exploits the sonic and physical potential of objects to re-animate what has long been forgotten, destroyed, or left unnoticed. He combines objects to create a mobile soundscape while engaging with each object’s place of origin and identity.

 

During his residency, the artist will work on a project titled, “Wild Fusion Room” in which Porte will integrate living things with domestic objects. In this new, hybridized, room, elements of nature will cohabitate with manufactured, electric, and sonorized objects.
